Light Writing by Tracey Wilson - bring your camera, a tripod if you have one and a narrow beam torch - eg small LED torch.
Theme for the evening Christmas "Animal, Vegetable, Mineral" max 2 images in each category (total 6), on memory stick or CD

February

Monday 7th Monthly meeting
Presentation and image show on Australia by Ron Pitkin
Theme for the evening "Bridges" max 6 images on memory stick or CD. Also bring any light writing pictures you have taken - again, no more than 6

March

Monday 7th Monthly meeting
Presentation and instruction on Flickr by Mike Crofts
Theme for the evening "Shoes". Bring no more than 6 pictures on a memory stick.

Sunday 20th Awayday
Visit to Thaxted followed by lunch.
Those signed-up to go, meet at the Guildhall in Thaxted at 10.30am.

April

Monday 4th Monthly meeting
Photographic Competition.
One category:- Linton Guildhall - Any aspect.
Bring ONE colour or black and white print, A4 unmounted borderless. Please bring Velcro & Blu-Tack for mounting. A prize for the winner! Judging by a professional photographer.
Theme for the evening "Ruins".
Also bring your pictures from the Thaxted awayday.
Send 6 theme and 6 awayday pictures only by email to Sarah or bring on a memory stick.

Colin Edwards will give a talk on Wildlife photography.

June

Monday 6th Monthly meeting
Macro photography by Ron Pitkin - bring your cameras.
Theme for the evening "Windows"
Send 6 theme pictures by email to Sarah (at least 3 days before the meeting) or bring on a memory stick.

Saturday and Sunday 11th and 12th Photo Display in the Church Pavilion
As part of Linton Flower Festival and Fete.
Theme, "Nature" - including animals and of course flowers. (Not a competition)
Let Sarah know by the end of May that you can supply borderless A4 prints and bring your prints to the June 6th meeting.

Thursday 16th Awayday
Midweek visit to Wells and Walsingham - Cancelled

July

Monday 4th Monthly meeting
There will be a small competition for all fully paid-up members.
Competition subject "Textures". Medium - Black and white only.
Bring one A4 borderless print. All club members will take part in the judging and there will be prizes for the winners.
Last date for entry will be at the meeting on 6 June.
Theme for the evening "Doors".
Send 6 theme pictures by email to Sarah or bring on a memory stick.
There will also be a short DVD presentation on how to make cards for the benefit of those who have not done so before. We need LOTS of cards to sell at the exhibition in October.

Sunday 10th Awayday
Visit to Cambridge Botanic Gardens
Meet at 11am at the Brookside Gate entrance to the gardens, at the corner of Trumpington Road and Bateman Street.
Entrance fee is £4.00 or £3.50 concessions (over 60).

Saturday 30th Linton Gardening Club Annual Show
Linton Village Hall, Coles Lane, Linton.
Categories for the photographic section will be: Water, Nature Up Close, Seed or Seed Heads, A Weather Vane.
Borderless unmounted prints (not previously exhibited) 40 square inches maximum, allowing 7x5 and 10x4 formats, 3 prints maximum per category

August

Monday 1st Monthly meeting
Photographic treasure hunt
Meet at 7.15pm sharp at the Black Bull, Balsham.
Don't forget your cameras!

Tuesday 2nd Awayday to Wells and Walsingham. If you wish to come please let Sarah know BEFORE 12th JULY for arranging lifts.

Sunday/Monday 28th/29th Awayday to Fenland Show at Stow cum Quy.

Monday 5th Monthly meeting
Still life - bottles. Bring your cameras, tripods etc and a bottle. Try to bring something OTHER than wine bottles please eg. bath stuff, ketchup, medicine - use your imagination!

Bring up to 4 pictures on a stick or send to Sarah before meeting. Also bring pictures of awaydays to Botanic Gardens and Wells (up to 4 of each)

Theme for the evening "Blue".
Bring up to 4 pictures on a stick or send to Sarah before meeting. Also bring pictures of awayday to zoo.
NB. Blue pictures must not have been turned blue by photoshopping!

Saturday 15th Linton Camera Club Annual Exhibition
Your chance to show your best photos not seen in previous Annual exhibitions.
10.00am to 4.00pm at The Village Hall, Coles Lane, Linton.
200+ photographs on display which will be available for purchase.
Win a framed A4 copy of your favourite photograph from the exhibition.
Photographic equipment, cards and artwork for sale.
Refreshments available including home made cakes.
Raffle in aid of the Alzheimer's Research Trust.
Admission free.

There will be a troubleshooting session during the first half of the evening.
Bring your cameras and any problems and get advice and help from experienced
members in small groups.
In-house competition for full members only. Subject "Still Life". One A4 print, borderless, either colour or black and white.
Theme for the evening "Gravestones".
